Cemetary of Corpses Journal Entry, Day 5

Journal Entry 07:07 Gametime, Day 5, 16 HR's til Atk

Ahhhhh, last night I actually slept pretty well. I guess I was so tired that I just slept through everything, even the annoying zombie moans. Maybe even so tired that if they broke in, I coulda been eaten alive! Well, sleeping of course. Haha... That's not really that funny now.

Anyways when I woke up, I remembered about the Vegetable Plot and I kinda wondered if anything grew in there! I kinda doubted it at first because there was no soil. Just sand. I mean after all, we are in a desert. And we did't even tend to it, all we really did was just poured a bunch of water on the ground and hammered some patchwork beams in firmly so hopefully if anything grew, it would wrap itself around the beam and grow abit more upright. And I also don't think tossing in Pharmaceutical Products in the plot was a good idea. Whats if it like mutated or something. Oh and here's the best part, we did't even have seeds! All we did was throw bits of pieces of anything that was on the ground. Rocks, sand, I think a stick, more sand, somebody's tooth, and some more sand. Id be surprised if anything grew there, especially in 24 hours!

Since I was the first one up I got first dibs, but when I got to the plot, something did grow! There wasn't much but one of the foods I found kinda looked like a big strawberry, but the outside of it was hard like a melon but covered in thick vines, but the vines were actually a part of the fruit itself rather then being hanged from a tree vine or something. I don't know, but I ate that one. And it was actually surprisingly good!  Kinda tasted abit like a strawberry as I mentioned earlier, but it chewed like cabbage. I think my grammar might be abit off, but who cares. I also saw something else in the plot but I did't really want to eat it. It sorta looked like... a "squash"? I did't really know, but I was already full from that...um. Well I don't know what to call it, but one of the citizens came up with a catchy name for it. He called it a "Intestine Melon". I kinda laughed. But the word intestine made me think of that zombie I had to kill back in day 3. (sigh) I still remember that pretty vividly. But I still couldn't think of what happened next. But it did't really matter, that was in the past, this is now.

Later, one of the citizens informed me that it was my turn to go up in the watchtower to estimate how many zombies were gathering for the attack tonight. But he had this weird look, shocking may be the word i'm looking for. Anyway, so like usual, id climb up the stairs, look through the binoculars, repeat myself  like 7 times because I would always lose count. But this time was different. As soon as I peeked through the binoculars, I was startled, shocked might of been a better word I was looking for. I saw "twice" as many zombies that there were last night! But after re-counting after like 9 times. I think I counted round 258? Yeah, 258 zombies approximently were going to attack us tonight. I probably miscounted again or counted a couple zombies twice...

Or I missed a couple zombies.
I did't really want to think about that!!!

So after working in the Workshop for long bits of time, I had some spare energy just to go outside of town and scavenge some materials. It was all poor resources basically, just rotten logs and scrap metal. But that stuff is actually pretty dang useful. But if we did't have a Workshop however, they'd be useless. Well, cept for the rotten logs, you can use them as torches to keep a couple zombies at bay. What I would do too is if we had like a bunch of ladders, we could climb to the top of the wall and just throw scrap metal at um! Haha! So yeah, like I mentioned, scavenging just logs and scraps. I saw two zombies just limping around bumping into each other constantly. It was kinda funny. I just wish there was something to like, record it, or just watch it over and over again all you wanted too!

Well, i'm tired. But if I could, I would head down to the Construction Site right now, so I would be damned sure that nothing is getting in through that wall tonight! But i'm too tired. Hopefully the other citizens will know what to do. But I think i'm just gonna head back to the bar and get something to drink. I just wish people would visit more often. Nobody ever visits "Drink2Nite". Right now i'm starting to think it was a bad idea to build the bar in the first place. Its just me in there. Well, there were two other guys that came in round 2 days ago.

Oh Yeah! I remember now. EXIAN and IvanDarkraven. Heh, I remember when Ivan came in and...well. I'm not gonna write it down. But it was friggin funny. Ohhhh. And EXIAN, I miss him I do. He died from generalized infection. (sigh) I kinda wish I was the one to take care of him after he passed. Phantom got to him first. All he did was tossed him out the gate and that was it. If one of those dang hero scavengers would just give me there shovel of theres, I would dig and dig and dig. And i'd put EXIAN in the ground far away from everything. So he could rest in piece. I wouldn't really want to see him as a zombie either. You'd think that he'd come up crawling through the earth and reach the surface. But in reality, that's physically impossible. You'd die of suffocation or being crushed to death. And you can't dig when your underground either.

So yeah. That's that. After I get my drink, I think i'm gonna get back to my tent and take a nap since i'm gonna be up all night tonight anyways. I gotta be sure that EXIAN is ok...
