Cemetary of Corpses Journal Entry, Day 3

NOTE: This entry is seriously long. Read at your own pace, or don't read it at all.

Journal Entry 22:25 Gametime, Day 3, 34 Mins til Atk

Last night I could not sleep at ALL... Not because I was afraid that zombies were gonna break in, but all last night, the friggin zombies just annoyed me "almost" to death! (Ok, over-exaggerating abit) I mean there was only 88 zombies out last night, which I guess is still alot but nevertheless, but my God! They were all moaning and pounding on the wall simultaneously. It just amazes me just how annoying zombies have to be! I know they want to eat us, yes oooh gooey fleshy blood, blah blah blah blah BLAHHH... OH, and don't even get me started about how they were using there "teeth" to scrape against the sheet metal covering parts of the wall! (shivers) Worst...Sound...Ever...

Even though I did't get any sleep, something surprising popped up today. I guess the Searchtower had a phenomena of meteorological anomalies towards the south and junk, but below the town was a red zone full of zombies. Anyway, the town needed a group of zombie killers, and for some reason I took the job of the Z.E.G. [Zombie Extermination Group] I am the only member. But what I had to do today was basically suicide! I had to literally, head out south, and kill EVERY single zombie out there ALONE! Well, it wasn't that bad as I thought at first. During the day zombies are just slow and stupid, but that doesn't mean that there not a threat, But I was prepared. I had a water pistol, my water ration, a box cutter, and one of those battery launchers.

I headed out south and I already encountered 6 zombies right outside of town! Well, I cautiously moved towards the zombies because I did't want to run out there like some barbarian just so one of them could lunge forward and bite my arm or something. One of them approached me from the pack, it was limping towards me slowly with his arms raised, its eyes were pure white, no pupils, but his facial expressions told me that I was going to be his dinner. When it got close enough, it lunged at me with great speed! Out of hesitation, I grabbed its neck so it wouldn't bite me. It was oozing this nasty foul drool that almost made me throw up, and its jaw was literally about to fall off as it was trying to bite one of my fingers, but I squeezed its neck for dear life! I squeezed so hard that I actually made its neck bleed a little. The zombie was also scratching at me with his dirty gritty fingernails. Thankfully the zombie's scratching did't penetrate my clothes.

I pulled the box cutter outta the rucksack and stabbed the zombie numerous times, over and over again til the blade broke off in his abdomen. It was bleeding from the gut pretty badly, but he still wound't go down. So with my free arm, I grabbed the water pistol from my rucksacks side pocket, and with one giant gut punch, I managed to stick the gun right in its wound. And just like that, squirt squirt...

The zombie froze... Its eyes turned yellow with blood red veins... It screeched a loud painful tune right in my ear! Gripping with pain, I released the zombies neck and just like a rag doll, it fell straight on its knees. And when it fell, some of its entrails that were contaminated with water dripped on its legs, burning right through the flesh too. I never fought a zombie before, and I never for the life of me would ever think that just pure water, would beable to melt these things like butter. To us, it was a thirst-quencher. To them. It was like acid. Corrosive acid. It tried to crawl at me but it tuckered out after the water burned its insides. The chest turned into a brown liquid. The legs were melted too but the shins and feet were still held by bone and flesh. The head and the arms were still holding too, but the way the zombie died, it was just too brutal. Its eyes were wide open too. I woulda shut his eyelids. Buuut, to be in the safe side I just kicked sand in its eyes. They closed. Its jaw twitched a little but it stopped after like two seconds.

I honestly forgot what happened after that, even with the remaining 5 zombies. I don't know why I forgot. But i'm glad I forgot, just the thought that I had to kill zombies alone is stressful enough. I would wash away the blood and other liquids that the zombies got on my clothes and hands. But I guess I used my only water ration that day to fill that water gun once more. (sigh) I could sure use it now huh? Oh, and Defense is set for today so no worry's about zombies getting in.

But if they did...I don't think I could go through hell again...

Or at least I could drink lots of water, so when they eat me i'll act like a water bomb eh? Haha. Funny.
